Like every year, the Global Classroom International Model United Nations Programme (GCIMUN) was held at the United Nations Headquarters from March 28 to March 30 where Swastika Gargi Chakraborty represented Bangladesh for the first time in Mid-Level (Class V-VIII) section, according to a press release.
About 4,000 young leaders from 250 primary schools and 50 thousand high schools of 28 countries participated in GCIMUN. Swastika Gargi Chakraborty is a student of Grade-V (English Medium) of Daffodil International School.
The United Nations organises this programme twice in New York every year. Debates on different issues and views-exchange were held there.
Chakraborty said, “I feel excited and I am very happy as I went to UN to represent the country.” Chakraborty has been participating in various socio-cultural and school programmes with reputation.
