Tk 4.366cr pension disbursed among BCC employees

The Barishal City Corporation authorities disbursed Tk 4.366 crore pension and gratuity among 39 of its retired staff on Saturday night. BCC Mayor Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah distributed the cheques among those, who had retired from job from 2005 to 2019, during a ceremony at his office-cum-residence in the city. Deputy Commissioner SM Ajiar Rahman was present as a special guest. The BCC mayor said they will pay all the dues gradually. Official sources said the disbursement of pension among BCC employees had remained halted for 14 years.
