3 held with AK-rifles in Bandarban

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive held three ethnic people  with three AK-47 rifles and two foreign pistols from Madhyampara in Bandarban district town yesterday afternoon. The arrestees have been identified as Lal Pear Tha Bwom, 48, Basu Bwom, 45, hailing from Ruma upazila and Sin Thai Chakma, 44, hailing from Naikhangchhari upazila of the district. The elite force conducted the drive in the area at 12pm and arrested the trio with three AK-47 rifles, two foreign pistols, two magazines and four rounds of bullet, said Lt Col Miftah Uddin, Commanding Officer of RAB-7.
