Mosharraf stresses need for unity among AL activists

Faridpur: LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain stressed the need for unity among the Awami League activists for strengthening the hands of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who is relentlessly working to make Bangladesh a middle income country by 2021 which has already achieved the lower middle income status, reports BSS.  Speaking as chief guest at the triennial conference of Faridpur sadar upazila unit and town unit of Awami League at the local Ambica Memorial hall yesterday Mosharraf said during the last six years rule of Awami League under the leadership of PM Sheikh Hasina, the country has achieved many successes including economic progress, social progress and also other remarkable achievements in many fields.
Regarding the dynamic leadership of Sheikh Hasina, Mosharraf mentioned that she has earned the “Champions of the Earth” award from UN for managing the adverse effects of climate that Bangladesh faced as it is a disaster prone country.
Central committee organising secretary of Awami League Ahmed Hossain inaugurated the triennial conference. As special guest State Minister for Jute and Textiles Mirza Azam cautioned the people about the conspiracies against Sheikh Hasina as well as the country are going on in various ways to destabilize it and called upon the Awami League workers to unitedly foil those conspiracies if and when situation arises. The inaugural session chaired by Siddikur Rahman was also addressed, among others, by Awami League central leaders Habibur Rahman Siraj, Sheikh Abdullah, BM Mojammel Haque, Enamul Haque.
