Moon sighting body meets today

The National Moon Sighting Committee will hold a meeting today to fix the date of the holy Shab-e-Barat of Hijri 1440 after reviewing reports on moon sighting of Shaban month. The meeting will be held at the conference room of Islamic Foundation Bangladesh in Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 6.30 pm after Maghrib prayers.

State Minister for Religious Affairs and committee chairman Advocate Sheikh Md Abdullah will preside over the meeting, said an official release issued in Dhaka yesterday.
People are requested to inform the committee about moon sighting over following telephone numbers – 9559493, 9559643, 9555947, 9558337 and 9556407 – or through fax numbers – 9563397 and 9555951.
