Shab-e-Meraj being observed

Holy Shab-e-Meraj is being observed in the country last night with due religious fervour. On the 27th of Arabic month of Rajab every year, the Muslims observe the Shab-e-Meraj, the night when Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) embarked on a special journey to meet Allah.

In the journey, the Prophet travelled on the "Buraq" to Heaven where Allah gave him some instructions to take back to the faithful regarding the details of prayers. Besides, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also had the experience about the hell. He came to know different information about the Heaven and Hell on this night.

Muslim devotees offered special prayers at mosques and homes seeking blessings of Allah for the welfare of the entire nation and the Muslim Ummah. The Muslims also consider this night as a holy one and pass the night with the prayers to gain the success in the hereafter.
