‘Clean Sylhet’ campaign starts

Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) has kicked-off a month-long drive for ‘Clean Sylhet’ in the city yesterday. The campaign has been started officially from the Holy shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal.

The city corporation authorities brought out a procession from Bandarbazar and visited the main points of the city to build awareness among the city dwellers on cleanliness.

The SCC Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury along with other socio-cultural organisations’ members, city ward councilors and SCC executives and workers took part in the rally.

During the inauguration of the campaign, Ariful Haque Chowdhury said, “The campaign along with drives to keep Sylhet clean will run for this month and after cleaning the city, drive against mosquitoes will start.
