Lawyers abstain from work

Members of Sylhet District Bar Association observed two-hour work abstention yesterday protesting the attack on a lawyer and member of the association.

The abstention was called on Wednesday at 10am and ended at 12pm. During the movement, president of the association advocate Jamilul Haque Jamil demanded arrest of the attackers with 24 hours, unless the association will go for tougher movements. All the lawyers of the Sylhet bar took part in this movement.

On March 30, a group of miscreants attacked the Sylhet bar member Adv Burhan Uddin in his residence.
