BOA wants full national hockey team to play in SA Games

Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) by no way would any second string team to represent the country in the South Asian Games to be held in New Delhi early next year. BOA Secretary General Syed Shahed Reza told the reporters yesterday that they are very eager to send the national hockey team to SA Games.
But it seemed that it would be difficult to form the national hockey team as a few clubs are adamant not to join in any activities under the incumbent general secretary of Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF). Those clubs have been demanding the removal of the general secretary for a long time and did not participate in any league or tournaments. Shahed Reza while talking to the reporters yesterday said that they are closely watching the activities of BHF and also monitoring the actions of those players who are selected for the preliminary national camp.
This time most of the players of Dhaka Premier League want to play in the league. But the BHF could not hold the league as those clubs have been stayed away from the league and it posed a problem for BHF to organize the league. The BOA secretary general clearly told the reporters that if the BHF failed to organise the national camp with all the selected players then it would not send hockey team to SA Games.
