A woman who suffered burn injures in an explosion resulting from leak of a gas burner in the city's Ashkona area on Sunday morning died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Thursday morning, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Rehana Akhter, 40, wife of Saudi Arabia expatriate Abul Kashem. Sources at DMCH said Rehana died at the burn unit of the hospital around 11:30am. Earlier, housemaid Sakina who had also burn injuries in the incident succumbed to her injures around 3.30 am on Thursday at the hospital. Sokina had been undergoing treatment at DMCH, sources said. On Sunday, four members of a family and their housemaid Sakina received burn injuries in an explosion resulting from leak of a gas burner in the city's Ashkona area.
