Keeping the lengthy tour of the ICC Cricket World Cup in England in mind, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is mulling to keep a five-day break for the players in the aftermath of the looming Tri-nation series in Ireland.
Bangladesh are scheduled to fly for tri-nation series in Ireland in the first week of May. If Bangladesh progress to the final showdown of the pre-World Cup tournament, they have to stay in Dublin till May 17.
Therefore, they have to enlist themselves for the World Cup on May 24. They will play two ICC-accredited practice matches, which will be played on May 26 and 28 respectively.
Against South Africa on June 2, Bangladesh will launch their World Cup campaign, which will end on July 14, meaning that they have to stay for two and half-a-month out of the family.
In this case, the break will be optional for the players. If any play wishes, he can return home after the conclusion of the Tri-series.
It is learnt from the confidential source that the BCB might be done to get the best output from the players because they thought that the players might be distracted from their games staying a longer period out of the family.
If they give this time period for the players, it could be good yield for them.
