At least four bills, including the Supreme Court Judges (Leave, Pension and Privileges) Amendment Bill, 2015, are likely to be placed in the budget session of the 10th Parliament, which begins today. The other bills are: Export Promotion Bureau Bill, 2015, International Finance Corporation Bill, 2015 and Bangladesh Tea Workers Welfare Fund Bill, 2015, according to sources in the Parliament Secretariat. Parliament may also consider the passage of two other bills—Financial Reporting Bill, 2014 and Khulna Agricultural University Bill, 2015. The session will begin at 5pm, with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury in the chair. It will be the sixth session of the 10th Parliament, which was constituted through the Jan 5 polls last year, which the BNP had boycotted. The agenda and duration of the session will be determined at a meeting of the Business Advisory Comm-ittee prior to the session. Finance Minister AMA Muhith will place the national budget for 2015–16 fiscal year at 3:00pm on June 4. It will be the second budget session of the Sheikh Hasina-led present government.
