Principal held for ‘sexually harassing’ student

Police here on Wednesday arrested the principal of a madrasah for allegedly sexually harassing a female student in Sonagazi upazila of the district. The arrestee was identified as Maulana Sirajuddoula, principal of Sonagazi Fazil Madrasah. The victim’s mother alleged that Siraj called the girl, a student of 2nd year, to his office at noon. Later, he tried to rape her. The victim’s mother filed a case in this regard, said officer-in-charge of Sonagazi Model  Police Station Moazzem Hossain.
