ASP Mizan murder case

Detective Branch (DB) of police on Sunday filed charge sheet against two persons in the case filed over murder of assistant superintendent of police (ASP) Mizanur Rahman. The two accused are Faruk Hawlader and Shah Alam alias Alam alias Budda. DB (West) Inspector Sirajul Islam Khan filed the charge sheet before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Morshed Al Mamun Bhuiyan.
The court issued warrant to arrest fugitive Faruk Hawlader after taking the charge sheet into cognizance. It also set April 25 to submit report on executing the order. The investigation officer also filed a petition to drop names of accused Zakir Hossain, Aynal Haque alias Enamul Haque alias Mintu and Kamal from the charge sheet as the first two persons have already been killed in encounter with police and the detail address of the third has not been found.
Body of ASP Mozammel was found to the nearby Birulia Bridge of Mirpur Beribadh on June 21, 2017. His brother filed the case on that day with Rupnagar Police Station against unidentified killers.
