Global Handwashing Day today

Global Handwashing Day will be observed today.
The day, is being celebrated every year on October 15, is dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing with soap as an easy, effective, and affordable way to prevent diseases and save lives, says a press release.
SPRING, the USAID-funded project, is working in 40 upazilas in Khulna and Barisal divisions to improve the health and nutrition of mothers and young children. Promoting Essential Nutrition Actions and Essential Hygiene Actions has been a major component of SPRING’s work in
Bangladesh.
