Meeting on law and order held

Apart from two isolated incidents, law and order situation is normal in Chittagong district, claimed Chittagong District Administration in a meeting on law and order held at Chittagong District Administration conference hall yesterday.
The meeting was also discussed about comparative scenario of crime in the city in September. In the meeting it was revealed that a total of 688 people were arrested last month and 419 cases were filed with the police stations of the district.  District Administration fined 487 people for different reasons and realised Tk 23, 42,850 as fine. The mobile court sentenced 88 people to jail for different terms for different reasons. In the meeting, Mezbah Uddin, Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong District Administration urged the all concerned, including public representatives to keep law and order normal during the Durga Puja.
