SYLHET: Four more people, including two judges, testified before a local court yesterday in the teenage boy Rajon murder case, reports UNB.

Shawkat Chowdhury, a counsel appointed by Rajon’s father, said 29 witnesses out of total 38 have so made their deposition before the court in the murder case.
Meanwhile, a three-member police team which went to Saudi Arabia for bringing back key accused Kamrul Islam in the murder case will return home soon, he said.
On July 8, 13-year-old boy Sheikh Samiul Alam Rajon, son of Sheikh Azizur Rahman of Badeali village in Sadar upazila of Sylhet, was brutally tortured to death over a theft at Sundar Ali Market in Kumargaon area of Sylhet city.
The killers themselves took the video footage of the incident, which went viral on social networking site Facebook and video-sharing site Youtube which triggered a widespread outcry. Ten people were arrested in connection with the gruesome murder and eight of them made ‘confession’ separately to their involvement in the incident.
Later, the investigation officer of the case submitted charge sheet accusing 13 people, including absconding Kamrul, on August 16 before the court in Sylhet.
The other accused are Muhit Alam, 32, Shamim Alam, 20, Pavel Islam, 18, Ali Haider alias Ali, 34, Moyna Mia, 45, Nur Ahmed alias Nuru Mia, 20, Dulal Ahmed, 30, Ayaz Ali, 45, Taz Uddin Badal, 28, Firoz Mia, 50, Asmat Ali, 42, and Ruhul Amin, 25.
The three fugitive accused are Kamrul Islam, his brother Shamim Ahmed and Pavel.
Kamrul Islam, 24, fled to Saudi Arabia after the incident where he was held by local Bangladeshis and then handed over to Jeddah police. The Saudi Interior Ministry earlier approved the extradition of Kamrul to Bangladesh. On July 21, Interpol issued a notice against him.
