Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar laid the foundation stone of BTRC Building in the city’s Agargaon on Wednesday. BTRC Chairman Md Jahurul Haque, among other officials, was also present at the ceremony. The building will be constructed on a one-acre land at the administrative block in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area. At present, the telecom regulator is running its office from three floors of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (EIB) on rent. Earlier on July 2, 2018, the project was approved at the Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting.
