A former Lance Nayek of Bangladesh Air Force was killed yesterday when a Dhaka-bound train hit him near Airport Railway Station in the capital. The deceased was identified as former Lance Nayek Moshiur Rahman, 50, hailing from Nageshwari upazila of Kurigram district.
When Moshiur was walking on the rail track near the Airport Railway Station area and talking to one through mobile phone at about 9 am, a Kamlapur-bound train hit him from his behind, leaving him dead on the spot, assistant sub-inspector of Airport Railway Station camp Delwar Hossain told BSS. Being informed, police rushed the spot and sent the body to Dhaka medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.
