Shubachan Natya Shangshad will stage the 121st show of their acclaimed theatrical production ‘Mohajoner Nao’ tomorrow evening at the Experimental Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in Segun Bagicha of the capital.
The story, based on the life and philosophy of the late Baul Samrat Shah Abdul Karim, is written by Shakoor Majid and directed as well as choreographed by Sudip Chakroborty.
The 33rd production of Subachan narrates the story of Shah Abdul Karim and his journey into the realm of music through different sequences based on his biography.
The Baul Samrat showed signs of his musical talents from a young age, and though his schooling was not extensive, he went on to become one of the most acclaimed folk musicians of his time, who wrote and composed over 1600 songs.
