As a part of the 12th International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh, young filmmaker Muzahidul Islam Zahin’s short film ‘Paper Bird’, based on the story of Asif Imtious Prome, will be screened today at 3pm at the Begum Sufia Kamal Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum in Shahbag of the capital.
The film shows a teenage boy has written a novel. He has a bird who can talk like the human. The boy teaches his bird the novel’s name and becomes very happy hearing the name frequently from the bird. A friend comes to his home and he is asked to read the novel. Unfortunately, he refuses to read that. One can train birds or any other animals but can one do the same thing to human? This story is presented in the film.
Earlier the film participated in several international festivals, including Newark International Youth Film Festival in New York and FOCUS Children’s International Film Festival, US.
