Bangladesh hands over Myanmar BGP man

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) yesterday handed over a detained member of Border Guard Police (BGP) to Myanmar officials. BGP man Ang Bon Thing, hailing from Yangun of Myanmar, was detained for intruding into Bangladesh territory through Bhallukkhaia at Naikhangchhari bordering area on January 24. The handover ceremony was held following a flag meeting between the two neighboring countries' border forces at the zero point near Ghumdhum border around 11 pm, said Lt Col Ali Haidar Azad, commanding officer of BGB-34.
