3 die after inhaling toxic gas

Three people, including a minor boy, were killed after inhaling toxic gas in a septic tank at Nanaki Madyapara under Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj yesterday noon.
The deceased were identified as Sabbir, 8, son of Alamgir Hossain, his maternal uncle Osman Gani, 40, and Shahjalal, 32-- all residents of Nanaki village of the upazila.
Asaduzzaman Nur, an eyewitness, said Sabbir fall into the septic tank from a mango tree. The tank was located right under the tree.
To rescue Sabbir, his maternal uncle Gani and neighbour Shahjalal climbed down the tank but all of them died, the witness said.
Officer-in-charge of Sonargaon Police Station SM Monjur Kader said the bodies were sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy.
