Jagannath University (JnU) authorities yesterday temporarily suspended a teacher of political science for allegedly helping his relative during an admission test held on Friday. The authorities suspended the teacher, Mezbah-ul-Azam Saodagar, an assistant professor, after receiving a complaint from the examination committee of the ‘B’ unit. Prof Dr Sarkar Ali Akkas, president of the exam committee of JnU ‘B’ unit, said he received a written complaint against the accused from on-duty teachers, who were present at room-408 of science building during the admission test. The teachers saw Mezbah was aiding an aspirant, who was recognised later as his relative, by indicating correct answers of the questions set on the entry test paper.
