�Under Construction� at �Festival De Cine Bogata�

Film director Rubaiyat Hossain’s second feature film titled ‘Under Construction’ has been invited to the 32nd edition of an international film festival titled ‘Festival De Cine Bogata’ in Colombia, which will be held from October 20 to 28. The film is about a woman struggling to find herself in the sprawl of urban Bangladesh. The story of the film ‘Under Construction’ shows that in order to find herself, actress Roya reconstructs a famous and politically minded play for modern times, reclaiming her identity and sexuality in the process. The film casts Shahana Goswami, Rikita Nandini, Mita Rahman, and Rahul Bose among others. The film will see its release next year on January 22 in Dhaka. Before release, the pre-show of the film will take place in ‘Dhaka International Film Festival’ on January 14. To note, earlier the film was screened at the Montreal International Film Festival (MIFF) in Canada, this year. The film also saw its world premiere at the Seattle Film Festival in America.
