Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday strongly condemned the recent atrocities perpetrated by the Israeli forces in last few days on Palestinians and called for bringing the perpetrators to justice.
She also reiterated Bangladesh’s commitment in realising the inalienable rights of people of Palestine to have an independent homeland and a sovereign and viable state.
“I am deeply saddened and concerned about the recent atrocities perpetrated by Israeli occupation forces during the last few days which claimed lives of several Palestinian civilians,” the prime minister said in a condolence message to Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the State of Palestine.
“While expressing our deep condolences and sympathies to the victims as well as our Palestinian brothers, we pray for early recovery of the injured ones. We unequivocally denounce such acts of terror and violence and call for bringing the perpetrators involved in these heinous crimes to justice,” she said.
“I take this opportunity to reiterate Bangladesh’s unequivocal commitment in realising the inalienable rights of the brotherly people of Palestine for independent homeland and a sovereign and viable State of Palestine,” Hasina said.
“May Almighty Allah give the government and the brotherly people of Palestine the strength to achieve the goal of an independent homeland,” she added.
