CHITTAGONG: The newly-elected Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) AJM Nasir Uddin yesterday said waterlogging is not the main problem of the port city, but it would be resolved through proper long and short term planning, reports BSS. "I seek all kinds of cooperation from people of all walks of life in the port city to resolve water logging problem," he added. The newly-elected CCC mayor said this while inaugurating a mega shop Lords Tailors and Fabrics at Chittagong shopping complex yesterday noon. "I have already talked to some experts and officials concerned about the matter. Hopefully, the water logging problem will be resolved as soon as possible," he said. Nasir, also general secretary of AL Chittagong city unit, called upon the city residents to be aware of the problem and dump garbage at designated places. The mayor hoped that the works for digging the filled-up canals in the city has started and it would be completed very soon.
