Bangladesh football team head coach Jamie Day selected a 30-man squad with a bunch of young bloods ahead of the FIFA Friendly match against Cambodia and the AFC Under-23 Championship Qualifying round matches in Bahrain due to take place in Phnom Penh and Manama on March 9 and 22 respectively.
Jamie Day, who began his assignment with the national team playing in the Asian Games, then played in the SAFF Championship and Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football tournament, earlier also showed his intention to give his first preference to youngsters.
And this time also he kept his confidence on the young players to make the national team and age group team to play in the FIFA friendly and AFC-23 competition.
However, Jamie, made the preliminary squads (27 and 29-man squad) for the upcoming competitions after watching the matches of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League, Federation Cup and Independence Cup.
Jamie this time also did not change his policy forming the squads with giving priority to the young booters when some 11 senior players will be out from the Bahrain bound team, for AFC Under-23 competition but some of these 11 men will have chance in the FIFA Friendly in Cambodia.
