Congress president Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to praise the Air Force following India’s pre-dawn strike in Pakistan and said, "I salute the pilots of the IAFm" as opposition parties in India hailed the Indian Air force (IAF) for attack carried out against Jaish-e-Mohammad camps in Balakot, Pakistan.
Praising the force, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said IAF also stands for ‘India’s Amazing Fighters’. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said today’s air strikes are “hugely embarrassing” for Pakistan. In a series of tweets, Omar Abdullah wrote: “That’s a strike deep inside Pakistan and is hugely embarrassing for them. Regardless of what the other side may claim was or wasn’t hit, the planes crossed over, dropped their payload and flew back completely unscathed.” Omar Abdullah said he has asked his party workers in the frontier areas to “lend all possible help and assistance, both to the administration as well as to any people caught up in any Pakistani misadventure”.
