A three-member probe committee was formed to investigate the reason behind the death of a security guard in police custody on Saturday. The committee was formed headed by Mizanur Rahman, additional deputy commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP). The two members of the probe committee are Dipak Jyoti Khisa, assistant commissioner (Panchlaish zone) of CMP and Belal Uddin Jahangir, inspector of Detective Branch of CMP. The CMP commissioner Abdul Jalil Mandal on Saturday night formed the probe committee. Dipak Jyoti Khisa, assistant commissioner (Panchlaish zone) and member of the probe committee told The Independent, “We will start our investigation as soon as possible, if any one is found guilty in the investigation, punitive measure will be taken against him.”
