3 brick kilns fined for violating rules

A mobile court here on Tuesday fined a total of Tk 30 lakh to three brick kilns for running illegal brick fields by violating environmental rules.

A mobile court, led by Department of Environment Executive Magistrate Kazi Tamzid Ahmed, conducted the drive in Mollarhat and Jajira areas and fined Tk 11 lakh each to M/S MHS and Co and Molla Brick and Co for violating the rules.

The mobile court also fined Tk eight lakh to New Bricks Manufacture in Jajira area during the drive.
