2 policemen withdrawn in Manikganj for ‘raping’ woman

Two police officers have been withdrawn on charge of gang-raping a woman after keeping her confined to Saturia Duck-bungalow. The action was taken against sub-inspector Sekandar Hossain and assistant sub-inspector Mazharul Islam of Saturia Police Station. The victim lodged a written complaint with the police super yesterday.
As per the complaint, Sekandar took her to the Duck-bungalow when she came to the upazila headquarters along with another woman on Thursday afternoon.
He kept her confined to a room and forced her to take Yaba pills.
Later, Sekandar and Mazharul raped her in turns and released her on Friday afternoon, threatening to kill her on crossfire if she disclosed the matter to anyone.
