Principal held for ‘molesting’ children

The principal of a kindergarten was held on Thursday for allegedly molesting his students at Jalkar of the city. The arrestee was identified as Jahurul Islam, 38, principal of Usha Ideal Kindergarten. Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station Rezaul Karim said they arrested Jahurul around 11:30 am following an allegation. Earlier in the morning, guardians and locals besieged Jahurul at the school and called police. They alleged that the principal had long been molesting his students. One of the victims narrated the incident to her parents on Thursday morning.
