Five of ‘fraud gang’ held

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested alleged five members of a fraud gang from a house at Koabari in the city early Friday.
They used to collect money from people introducing themselves as judge and magistrate. The arrestees are Masud Rana, Gulshan Ara Liza, wife of Masud Rana, Raju Ahmed, Raju’s wife Aklima Akter, 25 of Tangail district and Taslima Khatun, daughter of Moslem Uddin Sardar of Pabna district.
Tipped off, a team of RAB-1 conducted a drive on the 5th floor of a multi-story building around 12:20 am and arrested them, said a press release of Rab headquarters.
