Man hacked dead in Ctg

A CNG auto-rickshaw driver was hacked to death by some miscreants at Thakurbari in Lohagara upazila on Friday morning. The deceased was identified as Md Abdul Monaf, 45, son of Fazlu Mia of Padua Daril beel area in the upazila. Saiful Islam, officer-in-charge of Lohagara Police Station, said being informed by locals a police team recovered the body of Monaf which bore some injury marks. Miscreants might have hacked Monaf for snatching his CNG auto-rickshaw, he said. No case was filed in this connection. Police, however, launched drive to arrest the miscreants, the OC added.
