Descendants block roads at Shahbagh for FF quota

Children and grandchildren of freedom fighters (FFs) yesterday blocked Shahbagh intersection in the city to realise their six-point demand, including reinstatement of 30 percent quota facilities for them in government jobs. Over 200 protesters under the banner of Muktijoddhar Santan and Projonmo blocked the intersection, halting vehicular movement. Their other demands include ensuring punishment of those defamed the Father of the Nation, his family members and freedom fighters, confiscating the property of Razakars, disqualifying their children for government jobs and terminating those currently in service, ensuring freedom fighters constitutional recognition and enacting their family protection law, and proportionately increasing the age limit of the children and descendants of freedom fighters for government jobs.
