International Cricket Council (ICC) Chairman Shashank Manohar who came to the Bangladesh at the invitation of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan spent the busy day on the second day of his tour yesterday.
Manohar along with his wife Varsha Manohar visited to the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar to pay homage to the martyrs of the 1971 War of Liberation. BCB president accompanied the distinguished guests to Savar. A number of BCB directors were also present on the occasion.
The ICC Chairman then paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Jatiyo Sangshad Bhaban in the evening of yesterday before attending an official reception hosted by the BCB in his honour.
He will offer his respects to the memory of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in Dhanmondi today. In the evening The ICC Chairman will witness the final of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Twenty20 between Dhaka Dynamites and Comilla Victorians at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
