Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will send wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Mithun and fast bowler Shafiul Islam along with batsmen Mominul Haque Shaurav and Shadman Islam Anik today (Friday) to play the pre-series warm-up match in New Zealand.
The quartet will fly by a flight of Singapore Airlines at 8:25am today to join the team prior to their one-off practice match. The 50-over practice match will be held on February 10 at Lincon, 23 kilometer away from Christchurch.
Of them, batsmen Mominul Haque Shaurav and Shadman Islam Anik were named for the Test series but the board sends them to play the practice match.
The third and final batch led by ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Rubel Hossain and Mohammad Saifuddin will fly for New Zealand on February 9, just one day after the conclusion of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) sixth edition.
Bangladesh will play their tour opener ODI match against the hosts New Zealand at the Mclean Park in Napier on February 13. The visitors will then face off the home side in the second ODI at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch on February 16.
