The government would introduce a new link ‘Quit Line’ at the hotline page of “Shasthya Batayan” to help people who were trying to quit smoking. “The ‘Quit Line’ is a service that would provide information and support to help people planning to quit, deal with difficult situations and remain non-smokers,” Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said.
He was speaking while presiding over the 1st meeting of the committee on ‘Imposing surcharge on Tobacco Management’ at the health ministry at the central Secretariat, said a press release.
