A mobile court in Faridpur yesterday jailed two journalists for entering a Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam centre without taking prior permission from the authority in Bhanga upazila. Saifullah Shamim and Rabiul Islam, upazila correspondents of the daily Bhorer Dak and Janata respectively, were sentenced to one month imprisonment each. "They forcibly entered the centre at KM College around 11am during English first paper test without taking permission from the centre secretary," said Md Muktadirul Ahmed, executive magistrate and UNO, who headed the mobile court. The court handed down the verdict as they failed to show their ID cards and clearance from the exam authority.
