AL picks Sohel Hazari for Tangail-4 by-polls

The ruling Awami League yesterday named Hasan Imam Khan Sohel Hazari as its candidate for contesting the Tangail-4 (Kalihati) by-polls slated for November 10, reports UNB. Hasan Imam Khan Sohel Hazari is the former chairman of Kalihati upazila Parishad and former organising secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Awami League Parliamentary Board (ALPB) held at Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s official residence Ganabhaban yesterday evening, said an ALPB member. ALPB President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina chaired the meeting.
