Housewife ‘kills self’

A housewife allegedly commits suicide following family feud at Balurchara area in the port city yesterday morning. The deceased was identified as Akhi Akhter, wife of Rabiul Awal of the area.

Akhi had an altercation with her husband in the morning after he had made a comment implicating her and his younger brother, Assistant Sub-Inspector Alauddin Talukdar of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost said quoting their family members.

Akhi later hanged herself from an iron rod of the building's roof, he said.
