University Grant Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan on Thursday said that a national level training institution would be established for professional development of the university teachers.
“Teacher’s community has to play a great role in taking the country forward….Graduate Training Institute has been producing skilled manpower in Bangladesh through the training programme,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at a certificate awarding ceremony of 21st foundation training for university teachers at UGC.
Graduate Training Institute (GTI) of Bangladesh Agricultural University in collaboration with UGC organised a month-long training for the young teachers to develop their professional skills. Presided over by UGC member professor Dr Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah, UGC Secretary Dr Md. Khaled, GTI director AKM Rafiqul Islam, UGC members and GTI officials were present at the ceremony.
