Batighar Sangskritik Bidyalay is arranging a dance-drama festival titled ‘Batighar Nritya Natya Utsab 2019’ at the National Music, Dance and Recitation Centre auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in Segun Bagicha of the capital today. At the festival, child artistes of five branches of Batighar Sangskritik Bidyalay will stage five dance-dramas from 4pm to 8pm.
Lalmatia branch of Batighar Sangskritik Bidyalay will stage Rabindranath Tagore’s dance-drama ‘Tasher Desh’, while Uttara branch will stage Tagore’s dance-drama ‘Balmiki Pratibha’, Wari branch will stage ‘Amar Porichoy’ based on Syed Shamsul Haq’s poem with the same name, Banasree branch will stage ‘Bir Purush’ based on Tagore’s poem and Mirpur branch will stage ‘Manush’ based on the Kazi Nazrul Islam’s poem.
