BPL resumes at SBNCS today

The last league phase of the BPL starts again in Dhaka today with one place of play-off is up for grab. Dhaka Dynamites, the current runners-up of the tournament may seal the play-off spot as the last team today when they take on Comilla Victorians at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS).

Comilla Victorians, Rangpur Riders and Chittagong Vikings had already confirmed their place and will just vie to keep them in top two positions in a bid to avoid Eliminator game.

Dhaka Dynamites currently have 10 points in 10 games, meaning they have two matches at hands. Rajshahi however have 12 points after ending their league phase and currently holds the fourth spot but such was heavy run rate of Dhaka that they just need a win in their rest of the two matches to confirm the last four spot.

In the day’s other match, Chittagong Vikings will face off Sylhet Sixers who are already out of the play-off contention.

The top two teams of the point table will vie in the Qualifier-1 game to qualify them to the final directly. The third and fourth team of the point table will play the Eliminator and the loser will be directly out of the race. The winner of the Eliminator will the play against the loser of Qualifier-1 to move into the final as the second team.
