Prime Bank National School Cricket is off to a tremendous start in the district level as Lalmonirhat Bangladesh Railway Government High School’s left-arm spinner Taizul Islam took eight wickets for 23 runs in their match against Border Guard High School. Despite Taizul’s brilliant bowling spell, Bangladesh Railway Government High school could not end the match on a high note and lost the match by 1 wicket. At the Sheikh Kamal Stadium in Nilphamari, Taijul’s team scored 159 runs batting first. Opener Sayedi Rahman was the top scorer with 56 runs. Border Guard High School won by one wicket with 12 overs to spare and 1 wicket. Amit Hasan was unbeaten on 26 runs and Arifuzzaman clobbered 24 run in the tailend for Border Guard High School. Taizul has been called in the Rangpur Divisional Under-16 team due to his performance in recent age group tournament.
