Skipper Aminul Islam smashed a century as Bangladesh Under-17 team kept them aloft over visiting Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) Under-17 team at the end of the second day of the first three-day match at BKSP yesterday.
At stumps, the CAB were 83 for four, still trailing by 317 runs after the hosts declared the first innings with a huge 400 for eight. Arnab Bhattacharjee was batting on 66 with Indrajit Orang is yet to open his account. Much would depend on the duo in CAB’s bid to avoid the follow-on.
Resuming the day 264 for four, the local side lost Mahmudul Hasan cheaply but another overnight unbeaten batsman Aminul who started the day with 87, quickly reached his century.
