Man hacked dead by mother

Comilla: A man was chopped to death allegedly by his mother at Jhanora village in Barura upazila yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Jasim Uddin, 35, a son of late Abdul Malek of the village. Locals said Jasim had been suffering from mental problems since long and he sometimes used to beat up his mother. Hearing scream of Jasim, neighbours rushed in the house and found the body of Jasim lying on the floor when his mother Jahanara Begum, 55, was standing with a blood-stained machete (da). Quoting victim�s wife Samsunnahar, officer-in-charge of Barura Police Station Nasir Uddin Mrida said the woman chopped his son Jasim to death, adding that they recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.
