One killed in Ctg

A man was killed over a trifling matter at Textile More under Bayezid Police Station in Chittagong early yesterday. The deceased was identified as Abdul Quader, 25, who used to run retail fuel shop and a resident of Harbang in Chakaria  upazila of Cox’s Bazar.“Quader had a retail fuel shop at Textile More. On Wednesday evening, about ten litres of diesel fell on the ground while his cousin Alamgir was selling oil; over the issue, Alamgir and Quader locked in an altercation. At one stage, Quader and his friends assaulted Alamgir,” said Pradip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bayezid police station. Around 3:00am yesterday while Quader was sleeping in the shop, enraged Alamgir hit him on the head by a hammer, said police sources. Critically injured Quader was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
