Abducted man rescued; three arrested

A young man, who was kidnapped from Shakta area under Keraniganj Model thana on Saturday, was rescued from Pallabi yesterday. The rescued Shahed, 32, said he used to work in a gents parlour in Shanir Akhra area where he got acquainted with the kidnappers. They picked him up in an auto rickshaw in the evening and demanded Tk 1.20 lakh from his wife over phone addressing themselves as police. Later, his wife filed a case. Tracking mobile phone of the kidnappers, police rescued Shahed from Begunbari slum early in the morning and arrested three kidnappers.
